Wood Week 2007 at Virginia Tech begins on Tuesday, September 4 and continues through Saturday, September 8th and is sponsored and coordinated
by the Department of Wood Science and Forest Products in the College of Natural Resources. Faculty, staff and students will be involved in
a range of activities bringing focus and attention on the utilization of renewable materials, accomplishments of students in the program,
interacting with partner universities and industries, and in educating 4th and 5th grade children and their teachers.
New for 2007 is the change in venue of the Third Annual Career Awareness Fair that will be held under a 'big-top' tent on the Drillfield (central campus) with
up to 50 companies and associations represented. Also new this year is the convening of the First Annual Virginia Forest Products
Association-Virginia Tech Forest Products Technology Conference to be held at the Inn at Virginia Tech.
