A Forest Journey by John Perlin
John Perlin the author of A Forest Journey: The Role of Wood in the Development of Civilization published by Harvard University Press, will be on campus on December 5 -7, 2006. This, his second visit to Virginia Tech, is sponsored by the Department Wood Science and Forest Products and the College of Natural Resources. Perlin will present a seminar entitled "A Forest Journey: The Story of Wood and Civilization" at 2 PM on Wednesday December 6th in Fralin Hall. He is speaking to classes and will meet with faculty and students while here. He will give a seminar and have book signing at 7 PM on December 5th at the Science Museum of Western Virginia in Roanoke, where there is an exhibit on his work.
