      <title>Wood Week 2008 Career Fair Announced</title>

      <description>The department of Wood Science and Forest Products has announced dates for its annual Wood Week celebration.  Wood Week 2008 will be held the week of September 15, 2008.  The career fair will be held on Thursday September 18 and registration is open now.   The career fair is the largest university-sponsored wood industry career fair in North America.

      <title>Wood Industry Student Placement Program Launches July 1, 2008</title>

      <description>The department of Wood Science has developed a new Wood Industry Student Placement program website to help bring awareness to Virginia Tech students and our industry the career opportunities available.  Virginia Tech students will post resumes to the site.  The industry will register to use the site and then be able to post position announcements directly to the site, as well as manage the posting.  Registered industry users will have access to view student resumes.
