Peter HamnerProject Associate
Peter Hamner is a project associate at the Brooks Center in the Department of Wood Science and Forest Products at Virginia Tech. Peter received a B.S. degree in Wood Science from Virginia Tech and went on to earn his MS in Forestry from the University of Kentucky. During his tenure at Virginia Tech, Peter has researched and published numerous articles and reports on subjects related to pallets, hardwood and softwood utilization, and unit load design. Peter is currently working with Dr. Brian Bond on a project attempting to predict presence and severity of mineral stain in red oak based on growth site variables.
